‘Opal Moonbaby and the Best Friend Project’ by Maudie Smith

Published November 2, 2016 by pinknabster

and-the-best-friend-project_21    “Opal Moonbaby” is magical, hilarious and strange, all packed into one book!  The story is about a girl called Martha who promises herself that she won’t make friends or trust anyone, after her best friend went off with a snooty show off.  Then one day, Martha and her brother Robbie were playing in the park and an alien called Opal landed, on a mission.  Opal needed someone’s help and Robbie wanted to be friends right away, but Martha wasn’t sure.  After she couldn’t trust any one any more, will she trust Opal ?…

The author, Maudie Smith, really painted a picture in my head of the setting and the characters.  It was even easier with Tony Ross’ dazzling illustrations.  It was even nicer to know that the author visited our school, Nottingham Girls High School.  I recommend the book for ages 8-11.

I rate this book 5/5 because it is authentic, has description, amazing illustrations and is definitely hilarious.  Thank you for reading my review  and I hope I have inspired you to read this book.  If you have read the book, please leave a comment below on how amazing you thought is was!  Keep reading!

“Sky Wolves” by Livi Michaels

“Sky Wolves” is a fantastic book that leads six dogs and a boy on a journey and all of them did things they would of never dreamed of doing.  As well as this, they all discover something about themselves and some even about those whom they love.

I would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 9 and thirteen or those who enjoy the “Warrior Cat” series.

I hope you enjoyed my review!        n2532492
