“The Devil Walks” is a horror book which is all about a young boy whose mother has kept a lie from him all his life and he has never ACTUALLY had a life. When his mother answers the door to a doctor, he takes her away to a place for her to get better and she has to promise that as soon as she is let out, she will let her son be free.
Meanwhile, Daniel, her son, has been taken in to the doctor’s house until his mother is back on her feet. Daniel has settled in well to his new family and has been well-cared for.
One time he is taken to see his mum but is told that she has been howling and groaning all night, saying how she regretted ever making that promise…
Why was she trying to protect him so badly?
Why could he not be free?…
- “This Book is Not Good for You” by Pseudonymous Bosch is a fantastic book to read! I found it funny how the author changed from the storyline to what is happening to him, and how the book ends on a cliff hanger! I think that this book is an adventure story with many mysteries. Whilst reading it, I really wanted to know why the girl was adopted and where her mother had gone. I also liked how at the end, Cass ate the chocolate and went into the past to find out who her true mother was, and why her parents abandoned her, as well as what the Secret was. I enjoyed how the author started with Chapter 15, as at the end of this chapter, you want to know what has happened! I would rate this book 4 or 5 stars out of 5 because it was funny and enjoyable!
This is an AMAZING book which is about a girl called Emma, whose twin sister, Laura, died on their birthday, so she changes her birthday. Then she meets a girl called Lexi, who has an eye patch and so by the end of the book, after wondering about many things, Emma finds out why her sister died and why she takes tablets plus most importantly, what is behind the eye patch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a clear 5 star book!
